Bios:
Arthur Allan is not the first or last name of the participants, but rather the middle names and common ground between Brion Arthur Nuda Rosch and Christopher Allan Sollars. The meeting of their two practices is similar to other duos: Fischli and Weiss, Gilbert and George, Abote and Costello, and Laurel and Hardy. Making work and interventions that respond to the mundane and everyday, the duo utilizes materials and ideas with basic common logic and care. San Francisco based artist, Brion Nuda Rosch is originally from Chicago and is self-taught. He has recently participated in numerous exhibitions including It's Not Me, It's You and IEG at the San Jose Institute for Contemporary Art, Trace Elements at the San Francisco Arts Commission, Grounded at Southern Exposure and HOT & COLD: The End is Here at Baer Ridgway Exhibitions. His work has also recently been featured in both Picnic Magazine and Appendix Magazine. Expanding the role of the artist, Rosch has curated several spaces including Hallway Projects, Adobe Books and Mimi Barr. Brion Nuda Rosch recently received a 2009 Artadia Award and had a solo exhibition at Baer Ridgway Exhibitions November 21st, 2009 - January 2nd, 2010. Please visit: http://brionnudarosch.com/
